Tanker Offloading

LOOP operates the only offshore oil port in the nation where supertankers can directly offload their cargoes of crude oil. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, 20 miles south of Grand Isle, Louisiana, the LOOP Marine Terminal stands in 110 feet of water, where domestic and international tankers can safely moor and transfer crude oil at rates up to 100,000 barrels per hour.
