Blending

Crude oil blending is used to increase the sale price or process-ability of a lower grade crude oil by blending it with a higher grade, higher priced crude. Based on specific customer crude quality demands, LOOP can provide the in-line blending of crude types for customers.

LOOP can blend crudes residing in any combination of two caverns or tanks based on a set ratio of the two sources. By using the LOOP in-line blending service, refineries benefit by freeing up valuable private resources while still getting a quality crude oil product that meets their own specifications as needed for processing.

LOOP tanks also provide the option of high capacity mixers allowing effective in-tank blending services.
